Having worked in AAA game development myself, I'm aware that handheld/mobile tends to target 24-30 FPS and is generally considered good in the industry. What is technically unplayable to people varies. Horizon content works great at max fps and Odyssey definitely still has room for optimization. More or less my experience playing ED on the deck is similar to that on PC. Yes, I own a Steam Deck and filmed that footage in the original post. So i guess Odissey has room for improvement. Meanwhile, apparently the Deck runs Warframe at 60 FPS without breaking a sweat. To me, that would be borderline unplayable. nevermind High, or Max settings.I don't know about you, but i definitely notice 20 fps while playing a shooter regardless of screen size. I certainly can't, but unless i'm mistaken, what we see in the video is 20 fps on foot, with low to med settings. I don't know if you own a Deck and can talk from personal experience, if so, my genuine congratulations. On a small screen like this you don't really notice it. Which is why I just preferred to play it at medium to low settings if I'm doing on foot engagements.
